The classic clenched fist salute has been borrowed by many movements over the years. From the anti-fascists during the Spanish Civil War, to Tommie Smith and John Carlos showing their support for the Black Panther movement during the 1968 Olympics, and the working class Northern Soul scene; the symbol has always represented solidarity and brotherhood.

With Celtic notching up a second successive league title under Gordon Strachan, the clenched fist salute has never seemed more appropriate.
